Below are just some of the health benefits your pet will
appreciate when you start feeding The Ultimate Diet.
Skin and Coat
Excessive shedding, a poor coat, unhealthy skin, or the presence of
dandruff are all indicators of poor nutrition. Between one and four weeks
of feeding The Ultimate Diet, you will see an incredible difference in the
condition of a poor coat. Shedding will decrease within six months, and
sometimes immediately. Depending on the individual animal's system, poor
skin condition prone to allergic reactions will also improve within six
months. Benefits have also been seen after just one week on the diet.
See Winston's story.
Allergies
Many problems--skin rashes, pimples, itchiness, dandruff, diarrhea, digestive
tract disorders, behavioral problems, coat loss--can be attributed to
allergies to ingredients listed (and many not listed) on commercial dog food
packaging. The occurrence of allergies in our pets is overwhelming and is
steadily increasing. At The Ultimate Diet, we firmly believe that a natural
diet would eliminate these allergies in all but a few pets. We have documented
cases of dogs that tested positive for allergies to ingredients in commercial
food like beef that we believe were not in fact allergic to beef, but all the
additives in the beef. Those same dogs are doing extremely well on the beef
version of our food (see Finn's story). All of the allergic dogs that have switched
to the Ultimate Diet and stayed on, have been able to discontinue the use of
antibiotics and steroids.
Chronic Conditions
Over the years, we have helped many dogs with diseases, all of whom have
been able to greatly reduce or eliminate completely the amount of medication
it takes to control the illness. These diseases include hypothyroidism,
cushings, epilepsy, hip displasia, and colitis. See Paula Perini's testimonial.
Hyperactivity
Many of the commercial foods on the market today are laced with chemicals,
dyes, and artificial flavorings. All of these have been proven to cause
behavioral problems in children. The human health food industry has answered
the call from consumers, offering products that are completely free of these
additives. It's time the pet food industry did the same. A little known fact:
by law, ingredients need not be listed by pet food companies unless the
company itself added the ingredient. Therefore, if the ingredients
(specifically, preservatives and chemicals) were added prior to arriving at
the company's facilities, they will not be listed in the ingredients. At The
Ultimate Diet we use only human-grade ingredients, fit for human consumption.
What is on the label is what you get, nothing more.
Ears and Eyes
One of the most common ailments affecting our pets are ear and eye infections.
On a commercial kibble diet, your pet's body is overloaded with toxins. The
discharges and infections in ears and eyes are mother nature's way of ridding
the body of toxins. In the majority of cases, The Ultimate Diet makes these
problems disappear within the first six months.
Muscle and Conditioning
Once on The Ultimate Diet, many owners notice that their previously overweight
or poorly muscled pets are in much better condition than on commercial foods.
Given the right fuel, the body's energy is able to rebuild muscle and tone. The
energy that previously was wasted attempting to extract value from foods devoid
or deficient of nutrients is now redirected to other important bodily functions,
such as building a healthy immune system to ward off disease and rebuilding the
body.
Tartar
Many people believe that tartar is removed by crunchy foods such as kibble.
This simply is not true. Tartar is prevented by the production of healthy
stomach acids and digestive juices, which is accomplished through proper
diet. In thirteen years of feeding our own dogs The Ultimate Diet, they have
never once required dental cleaning. We do not claim our food will remove
existing tartar; no company can truthfully do so. However, The Ultimte Diet
will prevent any further build up.
Parasites
Fleas and worms are parasites and as such are attracted to unhealthy hosts. If
your pet is on a natural diet of raw foods, the chance that they will attack
him or her is highly unlikely. Garlic, nutritional yeast, and apple cider vinegar
are all deterrents for these parasites, all of which you will find in our diets.
