Who are we?

Founder and president, Kimberly Thomson, born and raised on a farm, has spent over 37 years involved with dogs, cats and animals of all kinds.

At 11 she began showing purebred dogs. Years later bought her first
Rottweiler in Italy and began breeding, showing and training in Europe.
She spent over six years studying nutrition with German and Italian
breeders and Veterinarians and worked as a vet technician in Rome
for several years. At that time in the early eighties in Italy there were
virtually no commercial diets on the market, most good breeders
made a version of their own for their kennels.

Kimberly returned to Canada in 89’. She began a professional career
in dog training and pet sitting and discovered the lack of knowledge
and availability of proper nutritional diets among her clients and
friends. Her puppy buyers were sent home with a recipe to make a
raw fresh diet but most returned with comments like “I don’t even cook
for my family this much”.

It was clear to her that a more convenient way to feed a raw diet was
needed to convince the general public of the necessity to feed fresh
foods to their pets. In 97’ she opened the doors of The Ultimate Diet
Ltd. At first it was a retail business run out of her home. Then word of
mouth spread and retailers started picking up the product. We have
now grown into a wholesale production facility in rural Ontario.

Kimberly runs the day to day business while continuing her studies in
animal nutrition, herbal and homeopathic remedies. Her kennel;
Hazelburn Rottweilers over the years has housed and produced
Canadian Champions, International Champions, German, Canadian
and American Siegers (German for Champions).

All her dogs are born and raised on The Ultimate Diet. Our clients
can be certain, that over the last 20 years, the recipe has been tried,
